On March 16th, in response to the exposure by CCTV's 315 program last night regarding certain companies using untreated contaminated braised pork as ingredients, Oriental Selection issues a statement.

Among these products, braised pork with preserved vegetables stands out as a significant area of concern. Many lymph nodes, lipomas, and thyroid glands have not been thoroughly cleaned, posing a risk of contracting diseases upon consumption.

In light of this, Oriental Selection assures consumers that products sold through collaborating partners are eligible for a full refund if found to be contaminated. s_1eeb8abc59e84695acb8bd0416324ac5.jpg According to the anti-counterfeiting activist Wang Hai, both the "Eastern Selection" and "Crazy Little Yang Ge" live-streaming rooms have sold the CCTV-mentioned "Yuhuiyuan" Mei Cai Kou Rou (preserved pork with mustard greens).

This product, sold only in the livestream hosted by Sanzhiyang Qiao Mei, saw sales surpassing 242,000 units, totaling over 14 million CNY based on a price of 59.9 CNY per unit. Eastern Selection sold 53,000 units, amounting to 3.17 million CNY in sales.

Wang Hai stated that the operators of the livestream rooms have an obligation to compensate at a punitive rate of ten times the purchase price for any infringements.

In response, the customer service of Eastern Selection stated that these are products from partner merchants. They would register customer information and order numbers and contact the merchant to process refunds only.

If customers have other demands, they will be noted down and feedback will be provided to the merchant for resolution.
