On March 28th, OPPO officially announced that the entire OPPO Find X7 series will be the first to support 5.5G mobile communication, boasting a claimed "maximum network speed increase of up to 300%, leading the way into terabit mobile networks."
It is understood that 5.5G, also known as 5G-A, stands for "5G-Advanced," which is an upgraded version of 5G. Compared to 5G, 5.5G offers even faster speeds, supports more frequency bands, and is more automated and intelligent.
5.5G promises a tenfold increase in network performance, enabling peak capabilities of downlink speeds up to 10 gigabits per second and uplink speeds up to 1 gigabit per second. It serves as a crucial stepping stone in the evolution from 5G to 6G.
According to a report by CCTV News, Chinese telecom operators have deployed 5.5G trial networks in over 20 provinces nationwide. A large number of public users and some industry users are expected to experience 5.5G services this year.
The OPPO Find X7 series was launched in January this year, introducing two models: the Find X7 Super Standard Edition and the Find X7 Ultra, touted as the "god-tier flagship."
As per official reports, the OPPO Find X7 pre-sale lasted only 5 minutes, surpassing the full-day sales of its predecessor, the Find X6 flagship.
It's worth noting that the OPPO Find X7 Ultra also debuted the world's first dual periscope quad-camera system, featuring a brand-new upgraded professional Hasselblad portrait setup.
