During the interview, Altman expressed that the iPhone is one of the greatest technological products ever created in human history.
When asked about the situation of language models on devices, Altman replied that he is very interested in this topic and is passionate about the innovative forms in the computing field.
Altman believes that the current outstanding performance of smartphones is amazing, so to reach a new height, the threshold is naturally very high.
"I personally think the iPhone is one of the greatest technological products ever created in human history. It is truly an extraordinary device. I have mentioned before that it is already outstanding to the point that to surpass it, we must set a very high standard," Altman said.
It is worth mentioning that there have been recent reports that Apple is set to collaborate with OpenAI, and it is expected that the next generation of the mobile operating system, iOS 18, may integrate ChatGPT's functionality.
