The main topics of discussion were said to be Apple's self-developed AI processors and Apple's intention to contract the first batch of production capacity for TSMC's cutting-edge 2nm process, totaling around 2 million wafers.

Apple is even looking to have early exclusive access to TSMC's more advanced processes beyond 2nm.

This move is expected to bring substantial revenue to TSMC, with projected revenues reaching 600 billion New Taiwan dollars by 2024.

In recent years, Apple has been a major customer for TSMC's new processes, even being the sole initial customer for the 3nm node currently in early production.

Reports suggest that next year's iPhone 17 series will debut with the A19 Pro processor using TSMC's 2nm process.

However, there are also claims that the A19 Pro will only utilize TSMC's third-generation 3nm process, as mass production of 2nm is expected to come later, around 2026. Those eager to see it will have to wait for the iPhone 18 series and the A20 Pro processor.

It is anticipated that TSMC's 2nm wafers will come at a higher cost, affordable only to the likes of Apple. Other major clients like Qualcomm, MediaTek, AMD, and NVIDIA may have to patiently wait for at least a year before stepping onto the stage. s_9ddf28cc5891416581876ce442920bea.jpg
