Dias, a physicist at the University of Rochester in the United States, was a name that garnered significant attention in the physics community. His claim of discovering "room-temperature superconductivity" had once excited the scientific world, seemingly opening up new frontiers in science.

However, recently, a 124-page court document cited by a team from Nature revealed that the University of Rochester had conducted a 10-month investigation into Dias and found him implicated in various improper behaviors, including fabricating experimental data and plagiarism.

These allegations are expected to result in Dias facing early dismissal from the University of Rochester. The document indicates that since 2022, the university has conducted four investigations into Dias' team.

In the fourth investigation, conducted in accordance with the requirements of the National Science Foundation (NSF), Dias was found to have engaged in multiple academic misconducts, including data tampering, obstructing investigations, and plagiarism.

The University of Rochester stated that Dias will be dismissed before the end of his contract and his tenured professorship will be revoked. s_5d7ba8c38eaa45aba73885093053b1f8.jpg
