Peng Kaiping, a professor from the Department of Psychology at the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University, stated, "I believe that for first, second, and third graders, there should be no exams or grades. Although they can learn knowledge, excessive pressure should not be imposed on them. Learning skills can come later in life, while childhood should prioritize character building."

Peng Kaiping believes that this approach would allow children more time to experience the joy of childhood, learn life skills, foster a spirit of mutual assistance, and cultivate respect and love for life and others.

This proposal has sparked widespread discussion among parents. Some believe that this idea is well-intentioned, as children today face heavy academic pressure from an early age, lack sufficient playtime, and often have their mental health neglected. However, this is not just a problem for individual families but a societal issue that cannot be solved in the short term.

Others feel that while this proposal has its merits, it may be somewhat premature. Since extracurricular activities and high-quality parental companionship have yet to catch up, whether such a proposal is overly idealistic requires further consideration. s_d8fda9a1bbdc4545b42bd17e50b6217e.jpg
