With the launch of its self-developed imaging brand BlueImage, vivo becomes the second independent imaging brand in the smartphone industry after Huawei's XMAGE.
According to publicly available information, vivo applied for the registration of the BlueImage imaging trademark on November 14, 2023, covering a range of imaging-related items such as graphic processors, optical lenses, and sensors.
According to previous leaks, the vivo X100 Ultra phone is scheduled to be released in May, featuring a rear triple camera setup including a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with a Zeiss APO telephoto lens, supporting up to 200x digital zoom.
Additionally, the X100 Ultra's main rear camera will be upgraded to the Sony LYT900, featuring a complete 1-inch large sensor with a pixel count of 50 million and a single pixel size of 1.6μm.
Compared to the IMX989, the LYT900 reduces power consumption by 43%, with a dynamic range expanded to 14EV, which is 9.5 times that of the IMX989, allowing for the preservation of richer details in both bright and dark areas.
In terms of core specifications, the vivo X100 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform, equipped with a Samsung 2K E7-centered punch-hole AMOLED curved screen, supporting 1-120Hz LTPO and 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
