Opinions on adjusting holidays vary, with some supporting and others opposing the idea. Supporters argue that without adjustments, there simply isn't enough time for a meaningful trip. On the other hand, those in favor of regular holidays and against adjustments express concerns about feeling exhausted before and after the holidays.

So, what's the stance of the relevant authorities? On October 25th last year, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) published an interpretation of the "2024 holiday arrangements" on its official Weibo account. The article asserted that, overall, adjustments are preferable to no adjustments, and in many cases, adjustments are necessary.

The NDRC also emphasized the basic principle of adjustments: "minimal interference, minimizing disruptions to people's normal life rhythm." By rearranging weekends and utilizing strategies like "working odd days to make up for holidays," they aim to avoid fragmented holidays.

CCTV noted that China's current statutory holidays total 11 days, with 104 days off on weekends and 5 to 15 days of paid leave, placing it at a moderately high level internationally.

However, why do many still feel the holidays are insufficient and lack a sense of fulfillment? Some experts attribute this primarily to the inadequate implementation of paid annual leave policies. Effectively implementing this policy arrangement is seen as imperative. s_6c7868c7fbde4f379eff7044b852851c.jpg
