As a sci-fi drama focused on education, "The Martian Mission" is a joint production of the China Science and Technology Museum and "Our Space." This film not only delves into a wealth of scientific knowledge about Mars exploration and astronaut selection but also zooms in on the lives of astronauts, narrating the touching family stories of Chinese astronauts from a child's perspective.

Before the official screening, led by the film's leading actors and astronauts from the China Astronaut Research and Training Center, including astronaut instructor Tong Feizhou and Li Xinhong from the Green Aerospace Interstellar Team B, the audience first experienced an exciting "astronaut selection experience" activity. In a relaxed and lively atmosphere, they gained insights into Mars exploration and astronaut selection, experiencing the difficulties and challenges of astronaut training. 66248730e4b03b5da6d0d36d.jpeg The director of the China Science and Technology Museum, Guo Zhe, stated that "Mission to Mars" not only showcases the efforts of great scientists and engineers in the field of aerospace with special effects technology but also demonstrates the exploration and spirit that humanity should possess to venture to the unknown planet of Mars, inspiring more young people to participate in technological development and take on more missions in the future.

Zhai Mingguo, a scientific advisor for the film and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, encouraged young people to look up at the stars and stay grounded, embodying both the spirit of scientific research and practical work, contributing to the country's aerospace cause.

In discussions with the audience, Zheng Hu, the chairman of the Children's Film Work Committee of the China Film Association, remarked that "Mission to Mars" transforms knowledge about astronauts and Mars into real-life storylines, effectively conveying the scientific spirit, making it a highly anticipated work.

It's worth mentioning that the female lead in the film is played by its prototype, astronaut instructor Tong Feizhou herself. Retired astronaut Pan Zhanchun, participants in the "Green Aerospace Interstellar" controlled ecological life support system simulation test like Luo Jie and Li Xinhong, also play important roles in the film, making it a star-studded affair. Furthermore, the film includes many real scenes of astronaut training, marking the first 4K giant screen presentation of Chinese astronaut training content.

This premiere event is an important part of the 14th Beijing International Film Festival's Science and Technology Unit and the China Science and Technology Museum's special effects film exhibition, as well as the China Science and Technology Museum Aerospace Day series of activities. During the exhibition period, the film will be simultaneously screened at 10 science popularization venues including the Beijing Planetarium, Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Museum, and Liaoning Science and Technology Museum.
