As the only representative of a Chinese automotive company invited to this forum, Li emphasized that China boasts the most open market globally and does not implement targeted policies against foreign automobiles.

Li highlighted that NIO has faced fierce competition in the Chinese market since its inception. It competes not only with several of the world's largest multinational corporations but also with mature domestic automotive companies and outstanding startups in China.

Understanding that competition entails greater investment, a longer time to profitability, and a smaller margin for error, NIO, as a company, does not rely on the Chinese government to adopt protectionist policies to shield domestic enterprises.

Instead, Li believes that an open market environment benefits industries, society, and encourages companies to excel.

"Despite the fierce competition, we believe that openness will bring us more opportunities and challenges, enabling us to continually grow and progress," Li stated. 6e21efa9-d92f-41c5-b430-be341fb3d547.png
