In his concluding remarks, facing students from one of the world's top universities, Li Bin interpreted the meaning of "yīng qí míng yǐ, qiú qí yǒu shēng" from the Book of Songs and emphasized that cooperation is always the better option.
Li Bin explained that "yīng qí míng yǐ, qiú qí yǒu shēng" comes from the Book of Songs, the first collection of Chinese poetry dating back 2600 years. It signifies a bird emerging from a deep valley to seek companionship with its melodious chirps from atop a tall tree.
"We must face reality. Today's world is more polarized and fragmented compared to a decade ago, with disagreements becoming increasingly difficult to reconcile," Li Bin stated. "However, we still have choices. We can take action to build connections, promote exchanges, and foster mutual understanding."
"In essence, we should have the basic wisdom and judgment: cooperation is always the better option," Li Bin concluded.
