On April 2nd, for users of rental cars, dealing with traffic violations during the rental period has been quite inconvenient, requiring them to bring the vehicle's driving permit to the local traffic management department for processing.

To address this issue, the Ministry of Public Security launched the "Convenient Handling of Traffic Violations for Rental Cars" policy last September. Rental car users can now handle traffic violations for rental vehicles through the 12123 APP.

So, how does one go about handling this through the "Traffic Management 12123" app? What procedures are involved? The official guidelines provide a detailed explanation:

1. After the lessee driver logs into the "Traffic Management 12123" app, they should click on the "Rental Car Violation Handling" feature. This will take them to the process for handling traffic violations for rental cars. By selecting the rental contract, they can check and process traffic violation records that occurred during the rental contract period. Click on "Traffic Violation Records" to view detailed information and evidence photos of traffic violations. Select the traffic violation record you wish to address, then click on "Process and Pay Fine" to handle and pay the fine online directly. However, vehicle rental agencies are required to pre-register rental vehicles and temporarily record them for lessees. Only after the temporary registration of the rental vehicle can lessees process traffic violations online through the 12123 app.
