On March 18th, according to reports from CCTV Finance, as per the information from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), based on recent changes in international oil prices, and in accordance with the current mechanism for determining refined oil prices, this time, the domestic prices of gasoline and diesel (standard products) will remain unchanged, and relevant pricing linkage and subsidy policies will be implemented according to existing regulations.
It is reported that based on the current domestic refined oil price mechanism, the adjustment amount per ton compared to the average price of the first ten working days of March 18th and the first ten working days of March 4th is less than 50 CNY.
According to Article 7 of the "Regulations on Petroleum Price Management", this time, there will be no adjustment to gasoline and diesel prices, and the unadjusted amount will be accumulated or offset in the next price adjustment.
This round marks the sixth price adjustment of 2024 and the second stalemate in domestic refined oil prices. After this adjustment, the pattern of refined oil price adjustments in 2024 presents a "three increases, one decrease, and two stalemates" pattern.
After offsetting the increases and decreases, the cumulative increases in gasoline and diesel prices have reached 475 CNY/ton and 460 CNY/ton respectively. Specifically, the prices of 92 octane gasoline, 95 octane gasoline, and 0# diesel have each cumulatively increased by 0.37 CNY, 0.39 CNY, and 0.39 CNY per liter, respectively.
According to estimates from relevant agencies, for example, for a family sedan with a fuel tank capacity of 50 liters, the extra cost for refilling a tank with 92 octane gasoline is about 18.5 CNY, while for 95 octane gasoline, the extra cost is about 19.5 CNY.
According to the "ten working days" principle, the next price adjustment window will open at 24:00 on April 1st.
