On April 8th, Nezha Motors CEO Zhang Yong announced that the brand-new mid-size SUV, Nezha L, will be officially launched on the 20th of this month, highlighting some key features of the extended range version.
Here are the specifics: with a length of 4.77 meters, a four-cylinder engine, Ningde Times' 40-degree large battery, an independent compressor refrigerator (-6°C to 50°C), front row massage + zero-gravity co-pilot seat, 8155 chip + Dalian screen car system, AI big model, small table board, and a plethora of accessories.
The new car is the first SUV built on the Nezha Shanhaitian platform, with dimensions of 4770/1900/1660 millimeters (length/width/height) and a wheelbase of 2810 millimeters. It features a spacious five-seater layout and comes in both extended range and pure electric versions. The former is undoubtedly the flagship model, with a fuel consumption of 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers in electric mode.
It's evident that this car will be positioned around the 150,000 CNY mark, but it faces stiff competition at this price point. Established rivals include the already-launched Lixiang One and Lixiang One Pro. Additionally, traditional automakers like BYD, Great Wall Motors, and Changan have numerous excellent products within this price range.
In comparison, the family attributes of the Nezha L are more pronounced, whether it's the smart TV, refrigerator, or the spacious couch. In this price range, it stands alone in offering these features, though they are optional add-ons rather than essentials.
Therefore, pricing strategy is pivotal for the Nezha L. If they can offer a compelling price point, they might carve out a path for themselves amidst this fierce competition. Otherwise, they risk getting lost in the sea of cars.
