On April 30th, reports indicate that Tesla's electric pickup truck, the Cybertruck, has received a new off-road mode through an OTA update, officially enhancing its all-around four-wheel-drive off-road performance.
This update includes various settings, differential lock options, and rear-wheel steering disable function. The off-road mode offers two main sub-modes: Standard Mode and Baja Mode.
Standard Mode focuses on maintaining stable handling and good traction on complex terrains such as rocky roads, gravel roads, snow, and sand, while Baja Mode enhances vehicle balance for a more liberating driving experience.
The update also introduces a companion app for users to quickly view key vehicle information, browse through onboard camera footage, and control off-road functions with a single tap.
In addition, Tesla has also introduced the "Cybertent" mode for the Cybertruck, which automatically levels the vehicle, turns on the air conditioning, keeps the trunk open, and provides continuous power to the interior outlets.
