On May 3rd, in response to the "delivery drinks turning into water" incident, Tea Baodao issued a formal statement and quickly climbed to the top of the trending searches.

Previously, news about the 21-year-old youth "Fat Cat" choosing to end his life by jumping into a river after a failed online relationship and being extorted for 510,000 yuan had garnered widespread attention.

To express their condolences, netizens ordered delivery by the river, only to unexpectedly discover that Tea Baodao's milk tea was just water, and Hua Laoshi's food was in empty packaging.

In response, Tea Baodao issued an apology statement, admitting to sending out 40 orders of pure water instead of milk tea. The company has decided to dismiss the employees involved and terminate cooperation with the implicated store.

As a further compensation measure, Tea Baodao announced an additional donation of 1 million yuan to the "Tea Baodao Love Fund" of the Sichuan Provincial Youth Development Foundation in the name of "Fat Cat."

On the same day, the fast-food brand Hua Laoshi also stated through its official Weibo that they are urgently investigating the matter and will promptly take appropriate actions against the implicated store and employees. s_18726b77c9984079a5920ff4c27931f7.png After learning about the ordeal of "Fat Cat," we are deeply saddened and regretful. In response to the issue raised by everyone about "Fat Cat receiving plain water instead of the ordered food," we immediately set up a special task force to investigate. The investigation results are as follows:

It was found that around 1 a.m. on May 3rd, the Lu Zu Temple store in Chongqing received a number of delivery orders, all with the delivery address listed as "Yangtze River Bridge." At that time, the only night shift staff in the store, influenced by certain customers claiming, "We need the food quickly... other brands always deliver plain water or empty packages," decided to use purified water without authorization to fulfill the orders, involving approximately 40 orders.

Tea Bai Dao has always upheld values of integrity and honesty. We are deeply shocked and outraged by this behavior. The act of the store staff using purified water instead of the actual products for delivery not only seriously violates Tea Bai Dao's standard production procedures but also goes against the values of Tea Bai Dao, crossing the red line of brand management and social moral standards.

Currently, we have demanded the dismissal of the staff involved at the store, deducted the store deposit according to the company's store management system, and terminated the contract with the employee in accordance with the law and regulations. For the affected orders, we have instructed the store to issue full refunds, offer individual apologies, and provide a cash compensation ten times the amount of each order as required by relevant laws and regulations.

Furthermore, Tea Bai Dao has decided to make an additional donation of 1 million RMB to the Sichuan Youth Development Foundation's "Tea Bai Dao Love Fund" in the name of "Fat Cat," to support youth-related public welfare projects. While we mourn the loss, we look forward to the future. Together, let's bear the hardships of life. s_05ecd83fbec94db2a9571798c6bd0e9a.jpg
