It's been reported that a netizen has created a Redmi car logo, with the red color indeed matching the brand image. But isn't this a bit too luxurious? Rolls-Royce might just be left speechless after seeing it.
The Redmi car logo features a red and white color scheme, with the words "Red" and "Rice" placed above and below within a rounded rectangular frame. In the middle, there's an overlapping design of the "double R" letters. While the use of "Red" and "Rice" with the overlapping "double R" seems fine, it's strikingly similar to the logo of Rolls-Royce.
It's been noted by some netizens that the Rolls-Royce logo was indeed red in the early days. After the two founders passed away, it was changed to black. During the BMW era, concept cars and some commemorative editions would feature a red badge.
As per records, in 1934, after one of the founders of Rolls-Royce passed away, the iconic "Double R" emblem of Rolls-Royce was changed to black.
However, on the globally limited 35 units (reportedly only 3 in China) of the Centenary Phantom model, the Rolls-Royce Double R emblem on the front is red, and the body also features a Tudor Red double coachline.
Regarding the Redmi car, designers previously envisioned one based on the leaked images of the Xiaomi SU7, and the red-black color scheme indeed looked quite appealing and budget-friendly.
However, back in January this year, Xiaomi's car division made it clear: "There are no plans to launch a Redmi car. Currently, our focus is on perfecting the production and sales chain of Xiaomi cars, specifically, our first model, the Xiaomi SU7."
