On May 26th, during the 7th Digital China Construction Summit, China Mobile officially announced the "Nine Heavens" artificial intelligence base, consisting of a ten-thousand-card-level intelligent computing cluster, a hundred-billion-parameter multimodal large model, and an ecosystem platform that aggregates the top one hundred elements.
Firstly, over the past three years, China Mobile has preliminarily established a nationwide computing power network that is comprehensive in scale and technologically advanced, creating a new cluster of intelligent computing networks.
Within the year, China Mobile will put into operation three super large-scale single intelligent computing centers with nearly 20,000 cards each, along with 12 regional intelligent computing centers.
China Mobile will also upgrade 1,500 edge nodes, with the training and inference computing resource ratio increasing to 1:10, providing computing power to the entire society.
Next, China Mobile has independently developed the "1+N" general-purpose and dedicated large model system, creating a multi-billion parameter multimodal large model that supports language, vision, speech, structured data, multimodal, and other modalities, with versions ranging from billions to hundreds of billions of parameters.
The Jiutian multimodal large model also integrates professional knowledge from various industries such as communications, electricity, transportation, energy, steel, construction, traffic, and aviation. Domestic pre-training industry data accounts for the highest proportion, reaching 10%, leading globally.
China Mobile has independently developed 15 industry large models and deployed 40 self-developed industry large models. Among them, the government affairs large model has been applied in multiple provincial digital government projects, while the medical large model has collaborated with several leading domestic top-tier hospitals, serving scenarios such as emergency treatment, diagnosis, and consultation.
Third, China Mobile is actively building the Nine Days Ecological Convergence Platform, which has already gathered and opened more than 30 "self-owned + open source + ecological" large models and over 20 high-quality datasets. In the future, it will gradually open up hundreds of large models, datasets, and AI applications.
Furthermore, China Mobile has announced the opening of three major AI bases: a large model training base, a large model evaluation base, and a large model industrial innovation base. These bases will provide one-stop industrial drive services for large models from training to deployment, AI+ native application incubation, and more to the whole society.
Lastly, China Mobile has released 23 AI+ products and 20 AI+ DICT industry applications, continuously driving the development and application of AI technology.
