On March 26th, news surfaced that Xiaomi's latest model, identified as 24069RA21C, has obtained 3C certification with support for 90W fast charging.
Combining this with previous leaks, it appears that this model is indeed part of the Redmi new series teased by the company earlier. The initial batch will be powered by the third generation Snapdragon 8s, marking the first time this new Snapdragon 8 series lands in the mid-range segment.
Wang Teng previously mentioned that according to internal estimates, transitioning to the new 8 series would require an additional investment of nearly 1 billion compared to using the 7 series, which indeed poses significant pressure.
Currently, it's unclear which specific model will be the first in the new Redmi series. It's possible that the previously leaked Redmi Note 13 Turbo might be renamed to establish the new series, but we'll have to wait for official announcements for confirmation.
According to Redmi's previous plan, the Note series now releases two models per year. The first half of the year focuses on "Performance Little King Kong," emphasizing performance experience. The second half of the year focuses on "Experience Little King Kong," leaning towards popularizing new technologies comprehensively.
