According to the National Grain and Material Reserves Administration, as of March 22, grain enterprises in major producing areas have collectively purchased over 1.7 billion tons of autumn grain, with the overall progress reaching 80.5%.

Following the Spring Festival, grain reserve enterprises have intensified their purchasing efforts, while deep-processing and trading enterprises have begun to increase their inventories. Prices for grains such as corn have shown signs of stabilizing and rising. Particularly in the northeast region, the pace of farmers selling grain has accelerated, leading to a continuous increase in market supply, and the purchasing work is being carried out in an orderly manner.

Tang Cheng, Deputy Director of the Grain Reserve Division of the National Grain and Material Reserves Administration, stated that the daily purchase volume of corn in the northeast region is basically stable at around 900,000 tons, with a total volume exceeding 80 million tons. It can be said that the "bulk" of corn purchases in the northeast region has been realized. Many corn deep-processing enterprises are operating at full capacity, and purchase prices have also increased by 100-180 CNY per ton compared to before the Spring Festival. It is expected that the volume of autumn grain purchases will remain at a relatively high level in the near future.

In the next step, the National Grain and Material Reserves Administration will continue to do well in the autumn grain purchase work, guiding the northeast region and relevant enterprises to conscientiously implement various purchase policies, effectively play the role of reserve throughput regulation, guide key provinces to strengthen production and sales linkage, and encourage farmers to sell grain in an orderly manner. This is to ensure a successful conclusion to the peak season of autumn grain purchases and firmly safeguard the bottom line of farmers being able to "grow and sell grain successfully".
