On March 29th, MSI's latest PROJECT ZERO series motherboard with rear I/O, sporting a sleek silver-white design, has hit the shelves at an introductory price of 2599 CNY.

This Z790 PROJECT ZERO motherboard boasts a unique rear I/O design, cleverly relocating most primary connectors to the back of the board. Not only does this streamline cable management and connections, but it also strikes a perfect balance between usability and aesthetics, significantly lowering the barrier for users when assembling their computers.

In terms of performance, the Z790 PROJECT ZERO motherboard adopts a 14+1 phase power delivery design, robustly supporting Intel's 12th, 13th, and 14th generation Core desktop processors. s_65a8f73c16294669b31e726b222062c1.png It features four memory slots utilizing advanced SMT soldering technology and independently designed circuits, effectively reducing impedance and minimizing circuit interference. It supports DDR5-7200+ (OC) memory with a maximum capacity of up to 256GB.

Moreover, the motherboard comes with ample expansion slots, including one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot (with steel armor), one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots, and four M.2 slots (one PCIe 5.0 x4, three PCIe 4.0 x4). The addition of M.2 Frost Armor effectively reduces SSD temperatures, preventing performance degradation due to overheating, while also supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 technologies. s_fd6c1ec7ef6143aebeff543d6dc82b60.png To fully leverage the advantages of a rear-mounted motherboard, MSI has introduced the MEG MAESTRO 700L PZ chassis, boasting ample internal space. It not only supports ATX rear-mounted motherboards but is also compatible with standard E-ATX boards. Users have the flexibility to vertically mount graphics cards according to their preferences and can effortlessly accommodate a 420mm liquid cooling system.

In terms of connectivity, the Z790 PROJECT ZERO shines bright. It comes equipped with 1 USB 3.2 Gen2x2 20Gbps port (Type-C), 2 USB 3.2 Gen2 10Gbps ports (Type-A+Type-C), 6 USB 3.2 Gen1 5Gbps ports (Type-A), and 8 USB 2.0 ports, catering to diverse user connection needs.

Furthermore, the rear I/O provides a 2.5G Ethernet port, 7.1-channel audio ports, HDMI port, DP port, and PS/2 port, offering users a wealth of expansion options. s_71b9f1d65bc248c995ef95c6fbb84980.png
