In March this year, Motorola officially announced that the Lenovo Moto X50 Ultra AI smartphone will be the first to be equipped with the third-generation Snapdragon 8s mobile platform, promising users a "sweet" experience of AI+ performance.
It is reported that the third-generation Snapdragon 8s adopts a 4nm process, inheriting the same brand-new CPU architecture as the third-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship platform. It includes one super core with a frequency of 3.0GHz, four performance cores with frequencies up to 2.8GHz, and three efficiency cores with frequencies of 2.0GHz.
The official announcement for the release of the new device has now been made as time progresses.
The official statement reads: "Lenovo Moto X50 Ultra AI invites you to experience the perfect fusion of technology and speed! See you in May with the MotoAI phone!"
The Moto X50 Ultra AI smartphone is set to officially debut next month.
Reportedly, Motorola has previously launched the Moto Edge 50 Ultra smartphone overseas, expected to be the same model as the Moto X50 Ultra AI but with a different name.
For reference, the Moto Edge 50 Ultra features a metal frame and glass body, supports IP68 waterproofing, and offers options of vegan leather or real wood materials.
In terms of its display, the Moto Edge 50 Ultra features a 6.7-inch curved screen with a centered punch hole, boasting a resolution of 2712x1220 and a refresh rate of 144Hz, with a brightness reaching 2500 nits.
Performance-wise, the Moto Edge 50 Ultra is powered by the third-generation Snapdragon 8 series chipset, coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
For imaging, the Moto Edge 50 Ultra sports a 50-megapixel front camera, along with a rear setup comprising a 50-megapixel 1/1.3" primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel 72mm telephoto camera.
In terms of fast charging, the moto Edge 50 Ultra comes with a built-in 4500mAh battery and supports 125W wired fast charging as well as 50W wireless fast charging.
Additionally, according to reports, the Chinese version will feature Lenovo's self-developed Lenovo XiaoTian AI personal intelligent assistant, along with support for smart connect functionality, and will be equipped with the latest moto myui 7.0 operating system.
For comparison, the previous generation moto X40 was officially released in December 2022, starting at 3399 yuan. It features a 6.7-inch 165Hz quad-curved display with full DC dimming support, certified by SGS for eye protection. It is powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, coupled with LPDDR5X+UFS4.0. It sports a 60-megapixel front camera and a rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel intelligent original main camera, a 50-megapixel 117° ultra-wide-angle macro main camera, and a 12-megapixel high-definition portrait lens. The device is equipped with a 4600mAh battery and supports 125W wired fast charging as well as 15W wireless fast charging.

Recently, a Motorola new model with the model number XT2453-2 has passed wireless radio approval.

Previous reports indicated that Motorola is planning to launch a new foldable smartphone, which will be the successor to the razr 40 Ultra model. Internally codenamed "Motorola Glory," the device is designated as the XT-2453-3 (U.S. version).

It houses a 3800mAh battery with support for 30W wired fast charging and wireless charging.
