April 3rd update: OPPO's official customer service Weibo account has announced that the OPPO Find X7 Ultra will soon receive a system update to support 5.5G networks. This update will start rolling out to users in late April, marking the official arrival of the 5.5G era.
Some Find X7 Ultra users have already received the 14.0.1.510 version of the system update, which is a version intended for internal testing by mobile carriers and not the official market version. The official version of the system update will be gradually rolled out to all users by late April.
According to the data, 5.5G is a transitional technology between 5G and 6G, with data download speeds increasing from the initial gigabit level of 5G to tens of gigabits. This advancement enables support for more innovative services like extended reality and glasses-free 3D.
It's understood that major telecom operators in China have deployed 5.5G trial networks in over 20 provinces nationwide. China Mobile has also announced the launch of the world's largest commercial deployment of 5.5G this year in more than 300 cities across China. Hotspot areas like Shanghai and Hangzhou have already completed deployment of thousands of base stations.
