The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MHRSS) has announced the launch of its "Job Search for the Future - 2024 Major Cities Joint Recruitment for College Graduates Spring Drive," which will run from March 20th to May 31st.

This recruitment drive features:

  • Industry-specific job fairs for high-demand and talent-short areas, such as healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy
  • Regional job fairs aligned with national development strategies, including the Belt and Road Initiative, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
  • Flexible, targeted, and tailored recruitment fairs that cater to local industry needs and the requirements of both graduates and employers

The drive also offers a range of support services:

  • Deployment of career guidance experts to universities, businesses, and industrial parks to provide career counseling, job search advice, and other support services, instilling a positive and informed career outlook in graduates
  • Organization of field trips, career experiences, and mock training sessions to enhance graduates' job-seeking skills
  • Provision of webinars on policy updates and job search guidance to improve graduates' employability

The drive will prioritize cities with high concentrations of universities, large numbers of graduates, and significant employment needs, particularly in underdeveloped regions in central and western China. It will facilitate comprehensive and industry-specific inter-regional recruitment fairs, encouraging employers from other provinces to participate and bring job opportunities directly to local graduates.

The first phase of the spring drive will feature 102 specialized support activities, including:

  • 37 offline industry-specific job fairs in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and service industries
  • 8 inter-regional touring job fairs
  • 30 online industry and regional job fairs, covering e-commerce, telecommunications, smart manufacturing, and the East China region
  • 16 livestreaming job fairs
  • 4 live (and recorded) policy briefings
  • 7 live (and recorded) employment guidance sessions on career advancement, resume writing, and interview skills

The main event hubs will be hosted on the National Talent Network of China (http://www.newjobs.com.cn/) and the China Public Recruitment Network (http://job.mohrss.gov.cn/). College graduates can register on the event platform to access information and connect with relevant support resources.
