Pulsestacks, April 22 - Mingfan announced today the availability of the UM790 XTX mini PC, featuring the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor and an Oculink graphics card expansion dock interface. The barebones version is priced at 3099 yuan.
Mingfan released the UM780/790 XTX mini PC last August, featuring the R7-7840HS processor. The UM780 XTX hit the market in November.
This mini console features a fresh design with a magnetic top cover and interchangeable backlit etched panels enhanced by RGB lighting effects.
In terms of configuration, the UM 790 XTX mini desktop features the AMD 7040 series (codenamed Phoenix) processor, with the option to upgrade to the highest-tier R9-7940HS, boasting a performance rating of 70W. It supports dual-channel DDR5-5600 memory and accommodates two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 solid-state drives. Both the memory and SSDs also come with active cooling designs.
In terms of connectivity, this mini desktop comes with front and rear USB4 ports, rear HDMI, DisplayPort, and dual 2.5G Ethernet ports. Additionally, it features an Oculink interface for a graphics card dock, achieving an impressive 3DMark Time Spy score of 16047 in official external testing with an RTX 3080 graphics card.
The MingFan UM790 XTX mini desktop is now available for purchase at a listed price of ¥3299. With a discount coupon of ¥200, the final price after deduction comes to ¥3099. Meanwhile, PulseStacks has observed that the previously released UM780 XTX mini desktop is now priced at ¥2699.
