On May 24th, Apple's significant success with its M-series chips has set a benchmark for ARM-based PCs.

This month, Microsoft officially launched the Surface Pro 11 powered by the Snapdragon X series processors. Microsoft is once again teaming up with Qualcomm to compete in the Arm PC market. With the excellent performance of the Snapdragon X series, Arm-based Windows devices, led by the Surface lineup, are now offering a user experience on par with Apple's MacBook and iPad Pro.

Microsoft has announced that the 5G version of the Surface Pro 11 will be released this fall. The 5G version will not be available for global sales, and specific availability will depend on local network operators.

The 5G version of the Surface Pro 11 is equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite processor, integrating the Snapdragon X65 5G modem.

The Snapdragon X65 5G modem achieves a downlink speed of up to 10Gbps for the first time, making it the world's first 5G modem compliant with the 3GPP Release 16 standard.

Beyond its speed, the Snapdragon X65 5G modem introduces an upgradable architecture for the first time, providing operators with ultimate flexibility.

Moreover, the Snapdragon X65 5G modem supports enhancements, expansions, and customizations across various 5G market segments. Through software updates, it can support upcoming new features, functions, and the rapid deployment of new features from 3GPP Release 16. s_35d71af41df2493da8bb3fd68dbc8e10.png
