Business Insider, citing an interview with a Microsoft customer service representative, reported receiving feedback from users comparing Copilot and ChatGPT, with the representative asking, "Aren't you using the same technology?"

The Microsoft employee noted that current Copilot users are primarily Microsoft 365 users, and while reviews are mixed, most are positive.

Microsoft identified two reasons for the misunderstanding:

  1. Some users are trying to implement Copilot with older Microsoft business tools, leading to difficulties and a perception that Copilot is inferior to ChatGPT.
  2. Some customers struggle with crafting prompts, but Copilot tries to provide correct answers by supplementing surrounding information when questions are asked incorrectly.

To assist users in crafting prompts and utilizing Copilot more effectively, Microsoft has partnered with BrainStorm to create instructional videos. Microsoft did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
