Pulsestacks reported on May 1st that Meta Quest rolled out the system update v65 to Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro users on April 30th, introducing a range of new features and enhancements. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0501%2Ff0803dd8j00scssq7001ld000nw00dgg.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg After adding spatial video playback, Meta has now incorporated another feature inspired by Apple's Vision Pro. With the latest update, users can upload panoramic photos to Meta's cloud servers via the Meta Quest App on their iPhone (iOS 17 or higher required) for viewing in VR.

Pulsestacks observed that the spatial video playback feature has been optimized to work on all iPhones with iOS 17 or higher, expanding beyond just the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models.

Furthermore, this update ensures that all system interfaces now support perspective views, including the lock screen and shutdown menu. Previously, Quest would switch to a gray background on these crucial interfaces, but now users can directly see the real environment, enhancing usability.

Lastly, this update enhances the coordination between hand tracking and mouse-keyboard operations, reducing accidental touches on the mouse and keyboard whether users are connected via Bluetooth or wired connections.

Overall, despite Apple's Vision Pro being on the market for only three months, it has already had a positive impact on Quest users. The addition of features like spatial video playback and panoramic photo imports is a result of market competition. The support for perspective views across the entire system interface also enhances the smooth and natural user experience of Quest 3.
