According to a March 30 report by Pulsestacks, the Galaxy Ring will be the first Samsung device to adopt the all-new "SM-Q" series, with the specific model being SM-Q500, as reported by GalaxyClub website.
Before this, Samsung wearable devices were identified by model numbers starting with "SM-R". For instance, the model number for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro headphones was "SM-R510", and for the 40mm Galaxy Watch 6, it was "SM-R930".
Additionally, in the European market, the Galaxy Ring will adopt various regional codes such as EUA, EUB, EUC, EUD, EUE, and EUF, along with other regional codes like XAR and ASA.
The website anticipates that the Samsung Galaxy Ring will debut alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. Latest updates suggest this will happen at this summer's Unpacked event, expected to take place in early July.
According to a previous report by pulsestacks, Samsung's Head of Mobile Experiences, Lu Taiwen, revealed some information about their first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, during the MWC 2024 exhibition.
Lu Taiwen disclosed that the Galaxy Ring can last 5-9 days on a single charge and can be charged using a pogo pin connector and a dedicated adapter. In terms of functionality, this ring comes with various sensors to track users' blood oxygen saturation and sleep patterns. It is also capable of monitoring heart rate, steps, and exercise status.
