Member Wang Liang: Suggests Pilot Programs for Graduate Enrollment Expansion in Key Disciplines by Training Institutions

As the 2024 National Two Sessions proceed, on March 8, CPPCC member and researcher at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang Liang, during an exclusive interview with China News Service, stated the importance of nurturing young talents. He proposed that the country select a number of graduate enrollment institutions to pioneer a pilot program for autonomous enrollment expansion in key disciplines.

Wang Liang highlighted that the foundation of innovation lies in talent cultivation, especially the nurturing of young talents. He suggested selecting high-quality graduate training institutions to increase the enrollment quota for graduate students based on different disciplines and national demand areas. Through this approach, he hopes to cultivate more scientific and technological talents for the country, meeting the development needs of critical fields.
