On May 21st, according to the official introduction of the "Terminal Fast Charging Industry Association," Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. in Zhuhai has officially joined the Terminal Fast Charging Industry Association.
Meizu, founded in 2003, has nearly 20 years of experience in consumer electronics research and development. In 2014, it was the industry leader in fast charging with its independently developed dual Buck parallel fast charging technology mCharge1.0.
In February 2017, Meizu unveiled the first generation of its super-fast charging system, Super mCharge 1.0, at the MWC conference in Barcelona. It featured an innovative charging architecture combining a 2:1 charge pump and Buck technology, enabling 55W super-fast charging. Paired with a new safety battery, it could fully charge a phone in just 20 minutes.
By joining the Terminal Fast Charging Industry Association, Meizu's future products will support UFCS integrated fast charging. This means they can activate fast charging with chargers from other brands through a fusion protocol, and these chargers can also fast charge other phones.
According to reports, the UFCS Fusion Fast Charging Protocol, officially known as the "Mobile Terminal Fusion Fast Charging Technology Specification," is China's first fast charging technology standard.
This protocol aims to address the current complexity and incompatibility of fast charging standards in the market.
Led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Huawei, OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi, along with several terminal and chip companies such as Silergy, Rockchip, Lixing Technology, and Angbao Electronics, have jointly worked to promote this initiative.
Previously, Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO, and others have introduced multiple devices supporting the UFCS Fusion Fast Charging, including smartphones, tablets, and chargers.
