On May 21st, according to the official introduction of the "Terminal Fast Charging Industry Association," Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. has officially joined the Terminal Fast Charging Industry Association.
Meizu, founded in 2003, has nearly 20 years of experience in consumer electronics research and development. In 2014, it was the industry leader in fast charging with the pioneering self-developed dual Buck parallel fast charging technology mCharge1.0.
In February 2017, Meizu unveiled the first generation of its Super mCharge 1.0 ultra-fast charging system at the Barcelona MWC conference. This innovative charging architecture combines a 2:1 charge pump with Buck technology, enabling a super-fast charging capability of 55W. Paired with a new safety battery, it can fully charge a phone in just 20 minutes.
By joining the Terminal Fast Charging Industry Association, Meizu's future products will support UFCS integrated fast charging. This means they can activate fast charging with chargers from other brands through a fusion protocol, and these chargers can also fast charge other phones.
According to reports, the UFCS Fusion Fast Charging Protocol, officially known as the "Mobile Terminal Fusion Fast Charging Technology Specification," is China's first fast charging technology standard.
This protocol aims to address the current complexity and incompatibility of fast charging standards in the market.
Led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, along with companies like Silergy, Rockchip, Lixun Technology, and Angbao Electronics, among others, have jointly worked to promote and complete this initiative.
Previously, Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO, and others have introduced multiple devices supporting the UFCS Fusion Fast Charging, including smartphones, tablets, and chargers.
