On April 30th, today, the Cortex-X5 Geekbench 6 scores were officially announced. At a frequency of 2.12GHz, the Cortex-X5 single-core score reached 1606, and the multi-core score was 5061.
It is reported that the Arm Cortex-X5, codenamed BlackHawk, is first integrated by MediaTek Dimensity 9400, with leaks suggesting its IPC is even more powerful than Apple's A17 Pro.
IPC (Instructions Per Clock) is one of the key indicators of CPU performance, reflecting the number of instructions a CPU can execute at the same frequency. A higher IPC indicates stronger CPU performance.
Moreover, the BlackHawk architecture supports new instruction sets, including the Armv9-A extension instruction set and the SVE2 vector extension instruction set, further enhancing the chip's performance and efficiency.
This means that the MediaTek 9400, powered by the Arm Cortex-X5, will achieve another performance peak, making it the most powerful mobile chip in the Android camp.
According to Digital Chat Station, the MediaTek 9400 will debut in devices from a blue factory, with the OPPO Find X8 series also set to adopt this chip. These devices are expected to be released gradually in Q4.
