Photos shared by netizens show that recently, Mount Tai, the head of the Five Sacred Mountains, welcomed a massive number of tourists. From a drone's perspective, it is evident that the mountaintop of Mount Tai is crowded with tourists, and the paths up and down the mountain are also packed with people. Netizens exclaimed that it seemed like a billion people had come to Mount Tai.
Even the relatively steep Mount Hua is no exception. The mountain trails are filled with tourists, and the speed of going up and down the mountain is slow. Some tourists jokingly shouted, "I regret it, I don't want to play anymore, I want to go home."
The climbing situation at Mount Heng in Nanyue is similar to Mount Hua. Visitors have to queue for at least two hours to enter the mountain, and tourists are everywhere. Some local netizens in Hengyang even joked, "Is this an attack on Hengyang?"
Apart from the Five Sacred Mountains, Huangshan, known for its peculiar rocks, is also experiencing the same situation. The Huangshan Scenic Area officials stated that on the first day of the May Day holiday, nearly 32,000 visitors were received, far exceeding the same period last year.
For tourists, during the May Day holiday, famous mountains in China are generally crowded with visitors, leading to queues and waiting times during the ascent and descent.
