On April 15th, it was announced that Huawei will officially launch HarmonyOS NEXT, the pure version of Hongmeng, in the fourth quarter of this year.

Recently, a netizen exposed the interface of the pure HarmonyOS system on the Mate 60. According to the blogger, native Android apps cannot be used in the new version.

He pointed out that some locally heavy data applications (such as WeChat chatting, note-taking software) may require special handling, otherwise, even if re-pulled from the cloud, the user experience will be affected.

It is reported that the first model equipped with the pure version of HarmonyOS may be the Mate 70, planned to be released in September of this year (or possibly delayed until October), alongside the iPhone 16 series. s_dbc227109f274ac587350fbe7cf25308.jpg It has been revealed that with the release of the Huawei Mate 70 series, users may witness the full version of HarmonyOS NEXT, indicating a significant breakthrough for Huawei in the realm of operating systems.

As of now, over 4,000 applications have joined the HarmonyOS ecosystem. Compared to the initial 200 apps announced in January, this indicates a twentyfold increase in native HarmonyOS applications in just two months.

This surge in data highlights the rapid progress in the development of the HarmonyOS ecosystem, taking it yet another step closer to its goals. s_9004f3e222c94bedabfbabddcc44acbe.jpg Huawei Terminal Cloud President Zhu Yonggang stated earlier this year that Huawei hopes to collaborate with partners to jointly develop 5,000 "pure-blood" HarmonyOS native applications by 2024. s_f08388ed3af7494a8c4015a5986a919b.jpg
