April 10 news, today, the Passenger Car Association released the manufacturer sales ranking for March. In March, the retail sales volume of domestic passenger cars reached 1.69 million units, an increase of 6.2% year-over-year.

Meanwhile, SAIC Volkswagen saw its March sales reach 87,333 vehicles, marking a 3.9% year-on-year increase and securing the fifth spot on the list.

This also means that the combined sales of "Northern and Southern Volkswagens" fall short of BYD alone, highlighting BYD's sales advantage.

Geely and Changan Automobile took third and fourth place respectively, with both seeing significant year-on-year sales growth. Chery Automobile's domestic sales in March reached 75,274 vehicles, skyrocketing by 62.6% year-on-year, making it the carmaker with the highest sales growth on the list.

As for Tesla China, its March sales amounted to 62,398 vehicles, ranking seventh and experiencing an 18.6% year-on-year decrease, the largest decline among the listed carmakers.

Beijing Benz, FAW Toyota, and SAIC-GM occupied the eighth to tenth spots, with sales hovering around 60,000 units.

Previously frequent entrants Honda and Nissan from the Japanese brands have been pushed out of the top ten list by domestic brands. s_89c45436529440bcbff3629808d3bbd8.jpg
