On April 9th, it was reported by domestic media that a father, enraged by his son's excessive spending on online games, resorted to slapping himself in frustration.

According to Mr. Zhang, his 8-year-old son managed to spend over 6,000 CNY within just 10 minutes on in-game purchases, accumulating a total of 13,000 CNY. After the initial recharge, the game account automatically enabled the "password-free payment" feature, making subsequent recharges effortless.

Faced with this sudden revelation, Mr. Zhang lost control of his emotions and began slapping himself, while his son cried and attempted to intervene.

Upon discovering the issue, Mr. Zhang immediately contacted the authorities. However, the game company stated that it would take 10 days to address the matter, adding to his anxiety and distress.

This incident has deeply affected Mr. Zhang, leading him to blame himself for what he perceives as a lapse in his parenting.

He confessed, "It's okay if my business fails, but if I fail to educate my son properly, then I'm letting everyone down." This statement underscores his sense of responsibility and commitment to family and education. s_7b01b524f39b4ee897259fc60085e395.png
