Man carrying 24 bottles of Moutai liquor worth 80,000 yuan caught at customs, each person is allowed to bring in a maximum of 2 bottles duty-free

On April 20th, it was reported that customs officials at Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport recently seized 24 bottles of undeclared Moutai liquor during passenger entry inspections.

According to reports, customs officers conducting routine supervision of an arriving flight detected abnormalities in two luggage items through pre-scanning with an X-ray machine.

Subsequently, in the channel for items not requiring declaration, customs officials intercepted two passengers carrying these luggage items.

Upon inspection, customs officers found a total of 24 bottles of Moutai liquor in these two pieces of luggage, which were brought into the country without permission, with an estimated value of about 80,000 yuan.

Currently, the confiscated liquor has been detained by the customs authorities and handed over to relevant departments for further processing.

Customs authorities remind travelers that, according to regulations, residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland China residents traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macau for personal reasons are allowed to bring in 1 bottle of alcoholic beverage with an alcohol content of over 12 degrees (with a capacity not exceeding 0.75 liters) duty-free; while other travelers can bring in 2 bottles of alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of over 12 degrees (with a total capacity not exceeding 1.5 liters) duty-free. s_c0f3d8e68d074051a9ff0c130915a67a.png
