March 26th update: According to a post on the official WeChat account of "China Railway Construction Corporation" (CRCC), the Liaohe River Mainstream Flood Control Elevation Project, undertaken by the Second Company of China Railway 18th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., has achieved significant progress. The project includes the successful acceptance and official operation of two key facilities, the Double Loop Siphon and the West Loop Siphon. This achievement not only marks the first project among the 14 sections of the entire line to pass acceptance and start water operation in one go but also plays a crucial role in ensuring spring irrigation for thousands of mu of rice fields downstream. s_b643b5c3cdce407a8dec4dc8a96ab1ef.jpg The completed civil construction project, known as the "Twelve Standards," is located on the right bank of the Liao River in Panjin City, Liaoning Province. The dual siphon and west siphon facilities, integral to the irrigation system of Panjin, are situated southwest of Guangzhengtai Village and south of Daban Village, both within Panshan County. Their successful water diversion operation is crucial for ensuring smooth agricultural production in the local area.

Facing tight deadlines, heavy tasks, harsh winter construction conditions, and complex coordination challenges, the project construction team from China Railway 18th Bureau Group has demonstrated exceptional professionalism and teamwork spirit. s_223b3a83aa14461aa263d4ff937cc972.jpg The engineering team overcame numerous challenges and completed the water diversion task 68 days ahead of schedule, laying a solid foundation for the overall completion and water diversion of the Liaodong River main flood control upgrading project (Panjin section).

As one of the 150 major water conservancy projects in the country, the Liaodong River main flood control upgrading project boasts a total investment of up to 7 billion CNY.
