On May 23rd, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, revealed during the first-quarter performance meeting that starting from the second quarter, Xiaomi will disclose some specific data related to its automotive business.
However, he did not disclose which specific data will be made public, speculations suggest it may involve specific sales volume and revenue of Xiaomi's automotive business.
According to the financial report, as of April 30th, the cumulative locked order volume of the Xiaomi SU7 series reached 88,063 units.
By May 15th, the cumulative delivery volume of the Xiaomi SU7 series exceeded 10,000 units, aiming to surpass ten thousand deliveries in a single month by June this year.
Previously, Xiaomi stated that the original production plan for the Xiaomi SU7 in 2024 was 80,000 units for the whole year, which is already sold out and has been increased to 100,000 units.
Furthermore, Lu Weibing pointed out that although external factors such as memory prices may have some impact on the company's performance, these effects are within a controllable range.
He emphasized that as long as there are no extreme changes in the external environment, Xiaomi is confident in maintaining the growth momentum in overall gross profit margin from the first quarter.
