The report indicates that the total revenue of the top ten IC design companies globally in 2023 is approximately $167.6 billion, a 12% year-on-year increase.
The top ten companies include Nvidia, Qualcomm, Broadcom, AMD, MediaTek, Marvell, Unisoc, Realtek, Shanghai Weir Semiconductor, Monolithic Power Systems (MPS), and Cirrus Logic.
NVIDIA stands out as a leader in driving the development of the artificial intelligence industry chain, with a revenue of $55.268 billion in 2023, a staggering 105% year-over-year growth, dominating the competition.
Broadcom also benefits from NVIDIA's success, achieving a revenue of $28.445 billion in 2023 (only considering the semiconductor sector), with a 7% annual increase. AI chip revenue accounts for nearly 15% of its semiconductor solutions.
Both MediaTek and Qualcomm, as smartphone demand has not significantly rebounded, are facing revenue pressures. However, these two companies have diverted some efforts into the field of new energy vehicles.
Lastly, it's worth mentioning that if not suppressed by the United States, Huawei's HiSilicon could have also made it onto this list. Let's hope they continue their research and make a strong comeback.
