Peripheral manufacturer Logitech has unveiled a new keyboard case designed specifically for Apple's iPad Air and iPad Pro models this week, offering an alternative to Apple's pricier Magic Keyboard option. The Logitech Combo Touch is compatible with both sizes of the iPad Air and the two slim iPad Pro models. Logitech claims that the Combo Touch is the lightest tablet keyboard to date, enhancing portability while maintaining the sleek form factor of these tablets.
The Combo Touch features a detachable keyboard and a flexible stand, allowing for multiple usage modes. It can be used for typing in standard keyboard mode or folded for sketching, reading, and using the Apple Pencil.
Logitech claims that the multi-touch trackpad provides intuitive, precise input and navigation. The backlit keys feature a standard layout with sixteen brightness levels. Shortcut keys offer easy access to functions like volume control, media playback, and screen capture. The device's smart connector port enables direct device connection without the need for Bluetooth configuration.
The Combo Touch for the 11-inch iPad Air is priced at $200, while the 13-inch model is priced at $230. The 11-inch and 13-inch versions for the iPad Pro are priced at $230 and $260 respectively.
