On April 10th, Sony unveiled its latest addition to the BRAVIA commercial display lineup, the "Glare-proof Master," in the form of a whopping 98-inch model—FW-98BZ53L. Targeting businesses, upscale retailers, and the live streaming market, this product aims to impress.
This display boasts Sony's proprietary deep black coating, a fusion of anti-glare and low-reflection technologies, offering approximately 47% high diffusivity and outstanding anti-reflective performance.
While effectively reducing reflections, it maintains deep blacks and excellent high contrast.
Thanks to this technology, the display addresses the pain points of users struggling to simultaneously mitigate reflection issues and maintain quality performance in commercial bright ambient light or direct lighting environments.
Reportedly, the FW-98BZ53L is equipped with the latest XR chip, delivering a brightness of 780 cd/m² (typical)/1500 cd/m² (peak), with 32GB storage, a 178° viewing angle, and support for remote power on/off.
It's worth mentioning that the display offers various modes or functionalities, catering to different users such as enterprises, high-end retail, and e-commerce livestreaming.
For enterprise users, the FW-98BZ53L offers professional chart modes and a "One-Step Setup" menu with a "Meeting Room Mode."
Sony has also collaborated with Tencent to launch a special Sony-exclusive Tencent Meeting app, further enhancing the meeting user experience.
For high-end retail users, the built-in free Sony SIIWS signal transmission system enables real-time multi-point content management, making it easy to uniformly manage and push content for retail stores across different locations.
For e-commerce live streaming users, Sony provides high-quality virtual live streaming solutions using the FW-98BZ53L as a single or multi-screen spliced virtual background. This solution can meet the needs of different-sized live streaming rooms, achieving large-size, seamless, multi-screen spliced backgrounds for both seated and standing presentations.
According to reports, the FW-98BZ53L is expected to be launched in China in May 2024, with the official price yet to be announced.
