On March 11th, Li Xiang, the founder and CEO of Li Auto, responded to the controversy surrounding the official delivery of Li Auto MEGA in a post on his social media.
Li Xiang stated that legal measures will be taken to combat the illegal activities of smearing Li Auto MEGA, aiming to "counter darkness with light."
Following this, Li Yunfei, the General Manager of Brand and Public Relations at BYD Group, reposted the relevant content and expressed solidarity, stating, "We also empathize with the situation and support Li Auto's rights protection."
Li Yunfei remarked, "Black exteriors, black configurations, black technology, black branding... These are challenges we have also faced. We empathize with Li Auto's situation! We support the use of legal means to fight back. We should all counter darkness with light, rather than extinguishing someone else's light!"
At the end of last year, Li Yunfei even offered a reward of up to 5 million CNY to combat malicious slander, and said that if companies roll out products or technologies, applause is warranted; but if they lower their standards, it is despicable and contemptible.
In addition to Li Yunfei, big shots like Yu Chengdong, Yang Xueliang, and He Xiaopeng have also voiced support for Li Xiang on WeChat Moments or Weibo.
Yu Chengdong also stated: "Choosing the path of righteousness is always the right value! If the values of a company are compromised, there won't be a bright future! Let us, together with the industry, use practical actions to persistently choose the path of righteousness, and fight against darkness with light!"
