On April 11th, Leica announced the launch of the Leitz Phone 3 smartphone, boasting enhanced imaging capabilities, unique features, and a variety of shooting modes compared to its predecessor.
Undoubtedly, imaging prowess stands out as the Leitz Phone 3's key highlight. In line with Leica's longstanding excellence in photography, the new phone is equipped with a top-tier camera module featuring a 1-inch CMOS image sensor, delivering an impressive effective pixel count of 47.2MP.
The "Eight-Phase Detection Autofocus" feature ensures precise focusing during shooting. With an equivalent focal length of 19mm, an aperture of F/1.9, and support for 6x digital zoom, it enriches the details captured in photos.
It's worth noting that Leica has also added a classic magnetic lens cover to this smartphone, adding a sense of ceremony to photography. As for the front camera, it's equally impressive, boasting 12.6MP resolution, a 78° wide-angle lens, and an F/2.3 aperture, meeting users' needs for daily selfies and video calls.
In addition to its powerful hardware support, the Leitz Phone 3 introduces an innovative feature called "Leica Perspective Control." It is the first smartphone to incorporate this feature, effectively compensating for perspective distortion, resulting in more realistic and natural-looking images.
