According to pulsestacks on April 3rd, the Beats Solo 4 headphones have recently appeared in the FCC database, indicating that the Solo series will receive an update after about 8 years. In the early hours of today Beijing time, media outlet 9to5Mac claimed to have obtained the "complete specifications" of the Beats Solo 4 headphones from a reliable source.
Reportedly, the price of these headphones will remain the same as the previous generation launched in 2016, at $199 (approximately 1443 RMB according to pulsestacks). In terms of features, the Beats Solo 4 will upgrade the spatial audio experience, support dynamic head tracking, feature a USB-C port for charging and lossless audio, while retaining the 3.5mm audio jack. 9to5Mac also stated that the release date for these headphones is expected to be May 2nd. In terms of battery life, the Solo4 reportedly boasts an additional 10 hours of usage compared to the Solo3, reaching up to 50 hours, with just a 10-minute charge adding an extra 5 hours of wireless playback time.
Moreover, these headphones bring "one-touch" pairing support for Android devices, featuring built-in Bluetooth 5.3. On the comfort front, the Solo4 will come equipped with ear cushions dubbed "UltraPlush," promising a more comfortable wearing experience.
As previously reported by Pulsestacks, images of the Beats Solo 4 were found in internal files of iOS 17.4 RC version, suggesting that the new headphones are set to be officially released. While there isn't much detail available about the hardware itself at present, the design of these headphones appears strikingly similar to last year's Beats Studio Pro. According to leaked images, the Beats Solo4 will offer three color options: black, blue, and pink.
Apple's official description of the Beats Solo3 highlights its "up to 40 hours of battery life, perfect for your everyday use.
