Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute establishes Postdoctoral and Expert Talent Workstations

On March 21st, the Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences held a ceremony to unveil its Postdoctoral Research Workstation and Expert Talent Workstation.

Dr. Zheng Haixue, the Director of the Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, emphasized in his speech that the establishment of the postdoctoral research workstation and expert talent workstation is an inevitable outcome of the institute's talent development efforts. It is also seen as a crucial opportunity for high-quality development and a significant initiative to enhance the economic and social benefits of Gansu Province. The institute will fully leverage the platform advantages of these two workstations, continue to strive forward, strengthen the training of high-level reserve talents, gather talents from all sectors, make efforts to enhance the level of scientific and technological innovation, promote in-depth integration of industry, academia, and research, and rapidly advance the construction of a modern, first-class research institute that is self-reliant and sustainable, to better support the development of the animal husbandry industry.

Mr. Wu Xiaowei, the Director of the Gansu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, read out the approval document for the Postdoctoral Research Workstation and outlined the requirements for its operation, ensuring that the workstation establishes itself as a benchmark both in Gansu Province and nationwide. The institute is tasked with taking concrete responsibility for the recruitment, training, assessment, management, and service of postdoctoral researchers, providing them with good research conditions and necessary living conditions, and ensuring that they enjoy the same treatment as institute staff.

During the ceremony, Academician Shu Hongbing from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wang Xuan, Vice Chairman of the Lanzhou Municipal People's Congress and Chairman of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, jointly unveiled the Expert Talent Workstation. Director Wu Xiaowei and Director Zheng Haixue jointly unveiled the Postdoctoral Research Workstation.
