According to reports on April 14th, Land Rover is gearing up to unveil its first all-electric SUV, the Range Rover EV, in 2024.
Previously, Land Rover teased the new vehicle with a preview image, revealing that the Range Rover EV will utilize the MLA-Flex architecture and be powered by an 800V high-voltage platform.
The first prototype vehicle has begun global road tests, while blind pre-orders have also opened in overseas markets.
Officials revealed that the new car has undergone a year of virtual development testing, including multi-scenario chassis tuning and virtual wading tests at speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour.
In addition, an active noise reduction system has been specially developed by the manufacturer for the new vehicle, aimed at eliminating various noises such as road, wind, and tire noise, creating exceptional quietness.
The Range Rover EV will become one of the quietest and most refined models ever produced by the Land Rover brand.
Despite electrification being the vehicle's main feature, it will still be equipped with several new technologies, including the possibility of wading depth reaching up to 850 millimeters.
The new vehicle will feature an 800V high-voltage platform, resulting in excellent charging speed and driving experience.
Engineers at Land Rover have stated that the pure electric version of the Range Rover will offer performance consistent with the flagship V8 model, while retaining the full-terrain capabilities that have been a hallmark of the Range Rover series since its inception.
