On May 26th, according to reports, Kai-Fu Lee, Chairman and CEO of Sinovation Ventures, reiterated his predictions for the future development of artificial intelligence (AI) at the Fortune Innovation Forum.

As early as 2017, Kai-Fu Lee predicted that the impact of AI would surpass the sum of all historical technological revolutions, including electricity and the internet, and could potentially replace 50% of human jobs within the next 10 years.

Now, with only three years left until his predicted timeline, when asked if this forecast still holds true, Kai-Fu Lee replied, "In fact, it is very accurate."

He believes that the development of AI may be faster than expected, especially in replacing white-collar jobs, where AI may be replaced more quickly than blue-collar jobs.

Kai-Fu Lee also emphasized that the development of AI is a serious issue, and some countries have already begun to realize the need to address the social and economic challenges it brings.

He suggested that parents should encourage their children to learn and master AI, viewing it as a tool, much like Microsoft Word or Adobe Photoshop, to help them succeed in their future careers.

At the same time, Kai-Fu Lee also pointed out that although AI may surpass humans in certain aspects, humans possess unique qualities such as compassion, empathy, emotions, and the capacity for love, which machines do not possess.

He believes that in the next 50 years, people will not accept artificial intelligence that is counterfeit, a period long enough for contemporary children to survive and find the next steps for their own children. s_792363824f4744c4aab3ff6d7da377fb.jpg
