On April 7th, JD.com and Lenovo announced a groundbreaking strategic partnership, setting a clear goal for Lenovo to achieve sales exceeding 120 billion RMB on JD's platforms over the next three years.
Simultaneously, they will become each other's premier AI PC partners, jointly constructing an AI terminal industry ecosystem to expedite the implementation of AI devices such as AI PCs.
JD has long been Lenovo's largest retail channel for consumer electronics. In 2016, the two companies signed a strategic cooperation agreement worth 60 billion RMB over three years, successfully achieving their sales targets.
Looking ahead, the collaboration between JD and Lenovo will undergo comprehensive upgrading, focusing on three main strategic areas:
Firstly, they will deepen cooperation around Lenovo's full-stack AI products, solutions, and services. This encompasses AI-embedded smart terminals such as AI PCs, AI smartphones, AI tablets, and AIoT devices, AI-driven infrastructure like servers and storage, as well as AI-native solution services including device support and intelligent operations.
Secondly, they will become each other's pioneering partners in AI PCs, accelerating their universal adoption. Lenovo will actively participate in JD's "AI Renewal Acceleration Program," "New Product Preview Program," and "Special Support Program for Trade-Ins," enhancing cooperation at the product, marketing, and channel levels. Through the JD AI Renewal Acceleration Program, they will jointly offer enhanced trade-in subsidies and upgraded service experiences, reducing the cost of trying and replacing AI products for users, enabling more users to enjoy the ultimate exclusive experience of getting new products first, enjoying benefits first, and getting discounts first.
Thirdly, they will jointly build an AI terminal industry ecosystem. JD Retail will collaborate with Lenovo's Tianxi Ecology to provide users with a more intelligent and open AI application ecosystem experience.
